CANCELLATION POLICY
We require a minimum 24 hours notice for changing or cancelling any appointment. For appointments not canceled within 24 hours or no-shows there will be a charge of full price for the service scheduled. There will be no charge for appointments cancelled due to acts of God, (see cancellation policy above) or if we must cancel due to emergency or illness, and therefore will be rescheduled in as timely a fashion possible.
MISCONDUCT POLICY
Any misconduct by a client will result in immediate termination of service and full payment will be retained by Total Harmony Integrated Wellness.
LATE ARRIVAL TO AN APPOINTMENT
If you arrive late for your appointment we can only provide service for the remaining time scheduled.
DO NOT ARRIVE SICK
Please do not arrive sick to your appointment, we can also work online if this is the case.
NO ELECTRONICS DURING APPOINTMENT
Please turn off all electronic communication devices, as this can be very distracting for your time to heal.

DISCLAIMER:
SomaVeda® Thai Yoga and Integrative Therapies and all other therapies, treatments, yoga or exercise based activities offered through Total Harmony Integrated Wellness with NAIC Lay-Minister and Advanced Practitioner and Khruu Dr. Maureen Hughes, PhD, LMT, CATP, CTT at any location should not be used as a replacement for medical doctor visits if serious conditions are present. It is strongly recommended that clients inform their physician that they intend to receive treatment from Dr. Maureen Hughes PhD, LMT. Dr. Maureen Hughes, PhD, LMT has the right to refuse treatment to a client who presents with a contagious illness, recent vaccinations, severe contusions, fractured bones, or any other condition requiring immediate medical attention, including visits to the emergency room. If a significant injury has occurred and the client has pre-paid for visits, their credit will remain valid for six months from the date of acute illness or medical referral, or it can be sold/transferred as long as the recipient agrees to NAIC membership.
Dr. Maureen Hughes, PhD, LMT maintains the right to dismiss and/or refuse treatment to clients who behave inappropriately in any manner, at her sole discretion, without refund. The policy against abuse will be enforced at the sole discretion of Dr. Maureen Hughes and includes, but is not limited to, threats. Otherwise, NO REFUNDS. Unless otherwise agreed upon beforehand, payment is expected prior to or at the time of service.
CANCELLATION POLICY FOR CLIENTS:
Sometimes emergencies arise! This is a reality of life.
However, you must let me know!!
Once your individualized session arrangements have been agreed upon, prepayment is required. You may pay in advance in one payment using cash (usually with a cash discount), PayPal, Venmo, CashApp, Zelle, credit card with a 4% upcharge), or you can pay in installments with an additional 15% interest charge. All liabilities must be paid in full by the end of the third Session. Certain customers with an acceptable history can pay by check. Prepayment rates may be discounted. No exceptions.
For Introductory Sessions, I charge the full session rate if you are a no-show, more than 15 minutes late without notice, or cancel within 24 hours, regardless of whether you rebook. Unless other payment arrangements have been made, you will be billed via PayPal in such cases.
If you do not pay your bill, you will be denied further services. This includes the initial meeting. If a participant in the SomaVedaTM Program misses an appointment without explanation (no phone contact, etc.), the session is forfeited and will not be made up. If you cancel within 24 hours of your reservation, you will be charged in full unless it's an emergency (hospitalization, car accident, severe child emergency). Work emergencies are not recognized as acceptable.
You will receive appointment notifications for every appointment. These are automatic and it is not possible for you not to receive it once we have successfully set them. If you don't see it then you'll need to set up an email filter to ensure that they are arriving in your primary inbox. This is easy to do and instructions can be found with a simple internet search.
If you notify me that you do not have enough funds to attend our scheduled session after the 36-hr appointment confirmation (this is an email or text confirmation or both sent 36 hours prior to your scheduled appointment), we will require pre-payment for your next session. I will respect your time if you respect mine. Due to office activity, it can be challenging to replace positions within a short timeframe. Until further notice, this will be the policy.
In the unlikely event that I must cancel the appointment due to my own illness or injury, you will not be charged and we will schedule a make-up appointment as soon as possible. All preceding statements apply to the rescheduled appointment. No exceptions.
If you have paid for a Program, you have up to six months from the date of purchase to use the funds, unless otherwise agreed upon. For instance, if you have a critical emergency that necessitates surgery. I will retain your funds until you receive clearance from your physician. Then, you have six months to utilize your Program. You move out of town because your partner obtained a new employment, and you are compelled to accompany them. You may sell or gift your Program to another individual.
In the event that I become incapacitated/disabled or unable to perform the work until I recover from surgery, etc., there are NO REFUNDS; however, I will notify you when I am able to resume work so that we can complete the transaction. You will be notified when I become active again, and you will have six months to use your credit. I will always notify you if I must travel out of town for a workshop, family emergency, or vacation, and schedules will be adjusted as necessary.
GUEST ETIQUETTE:
If you are a first time client, please bring the completed, original printed-copy of the intake forms that were emailed to you. It is imperative that you have completed the necessary documentation in advance so that we can get to work immediately. For subsequent appointments, I request that you arrive at the appointed time (not early).
COMMUNICATING WITH YOUR THERAPIST:
The treatment pressure and chamber temperature vary from client to client based on what is most effective for balancing vikruti (dosha imbalance). You may choose to speak or remain silent during the treatment, whichever matches your mood! I will speak when spoken to or when Spirit prompts me to pose a question.
